Anti-PELO antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein pelota mRNA surveillance and ribosome rescue factor. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 385 amino acid residues and a mass of 43.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Eukaryotic release factor 1 protein family, PELO is known to be involved with the cell cycle. Synonyms for this target antigen include PRO1770, protein pelota homolog, pelota homolog, and CGI-17. PELO gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of pelo antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
