Anti-LYAR antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein Ly1 antibody reactive. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 379 amino acid residues and a mass of 43.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. It is reported to be highly expressed in the testis. LYAR is reported to play a role in the maintenance of the appropriate processing of 47S/45S pre-rRNA to 32S/30S pre-rRNAs and their subsequent processing to produce 18S and 28S rRNAs. The LYAR marker can be used to identify CD8+ ?ß Memory T Cells.* Synonyms for this target antigen include cell growth-regulating nucleolar protein and Ly1 antibody reactive homolog. LYAR gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some LYAR antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
