Anti-DDO antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein D-aspartate oxidase. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 341 amino acid residues and a mass of 37.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the peroxisomes. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 4 different isoforms for this protein. A member of the DAMOX/DASOX protein family, it is known to be involved with metabolic processes. Synonyms for this target antigen include DASPO, DDO-1, DDO-2, D-aspartate oxidase, DDO, aspartic oxidase, and DASOX.
