Anti-Urocortin 2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the UCN2 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 112 amino acid residues and a mass of 12.1 kDa. It is known to be a secreted protein. A member of the Sauvagine/corticotropin-releasing factor/urotensin I protein family, it is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include stresscopin-related peptide, ucn II, urocortin II, urocortin-related peptide, and prepro-urocortin 2.
