Anti-BRG1 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene SMARCA4, or 'SWI/SNF related, matrix associated, actin dependent regulator of chromatin, subfamily a, member 4' in humans. The 1647-amino acid protein is a member of the SNF2/RAD54 helicase family. The cellular localization is predicted to be nuclear.
