Anti-ELAV Like Protein 4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ELAV Like Protein 4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ELAVL4 gene, which encodes ELAV like RNA binding protein 4. This protein is known to function in pathways of aging and neuronal differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of ELAV Like Protein 4 has a canonical amino acid length of 385 residues and a protein mass of 42.4 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the colon, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, caudate, and adrenal gland. Other names for this target antigen include HUD, HUD, and PNEM.
