Anti-SV2 related protein antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the SVOP gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 548 amino acid residues and a mass of 60.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles. It is a member of the Major facilitator protein superfamily. Other names for this target antigen include SV2 related protein homolog, solute carrier family 22 member B4, and synaptic vesicle 2-related protein. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some SV2 related protein antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
