Anti-C15orf26 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the C15orf26 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CFAP161 gene, which encodes cilia and flagella associated protein 161. This protein is known to function in cilium assembly, among other biological roles. The human version of C15orf26 has a canonical amino acid length of 301 residues and a protein mass of 34.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the retina, fallopian tube, and bronchus.
