Anti-RVP1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target RVP1 is a known alias name of the protein claudin 3, encoded by the CLDN3 gene in humans. This 220-amino acid residue protein is known to play an important role in tight junction-specific obliteration of the intercellular space, through calcium-independent cell-adhesion activity. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for RVP1 include C7orf1, CPE-R2, and CPETR2. Some RVP1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
