Anti-SNF2 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The SNF2 antigen is another term for the human protein SWI/SNF related, matrix associated, actin dependent regulator of chromatin, subfamily a, member 2, encoded by the SMARCA2 gene. The protein is known to be involved in transcriptional activation and repression of select genes by chromatin remodeling (alteration of DNA-nucleosome topology). Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1590 residues and a mass of 181.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. The SNF2 protein is a member of the SNF2/RAD54 helicase protein family.
