Anti-TMEM8A antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TMEM8A is a known alias name of the protein post-GPI attachment to proteins 6, encoded by the PGAP6 gene in humans. This 771-amino acid residue protein is reported to be involved in lipid remodeling steps of GPI-anchor maturation. It is localized to the lysosomes and cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the pancreas, placenta, spleen, liver, kidney, bone marrow, peripheral blood leukocytes and tonsil. Indicated applications for TMEM8A antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunoprecipitation.
