Anti-Man IIx antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Man IIx antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the MAN2A2 gene, which encodes mannosidase alpha class 2A member 2. This protein is known to function in protein glycosylation, among other biological roles. The human version of Man IIx has a canonical amino acid length of 1150 residues and a protein mass of 130.5 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi of cells. Other names for this target antigen include MANA2X, alpha-mannosidase 2x, and MAN IIx.
