Anti-MENT antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the MENT antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the C1orf56 gene, which encodes chromosome 1 open reading frame 56. This protein is known to function in the regulation of cell proliferation, among other biological roles. The human version of MENT has a canonical amino acid length of 341 residues and a protein mass of 36.8 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is notably expressed in the kidney and testis.
