Anti-DSPD1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the DSPD1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PRRT1 gene, which encodes proline rich transmembrane protein 1. This protein is known to function in protein phosphorylation, among other biological roles. The human version of DSPD1 has a canonical amino acid length of 306 residues and a protein mass of 31.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the nasopharynx, fallopian tube, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and bronchus. DSPD1 is a member of the CD225/Dispanin protein family.
