Anti-CLOVE antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CLOVE is a known alias name of the protein phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic subunit alpha, encoded by the PIK3CA gene in humans. This 1068-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cytoskeleton organization and adipose tissue development, among other biological processes. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for CLOVE include CCM4 and CLAPO. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for CLOVE antibodies.
