Although CD27 is commonly used as a marker for lymphocytes (e.g., positive on medullary thymocytes and T cells, and also on activated B cells), it is also used in plasma cells for the differentiation between normal and dysplastic cells. We used this antibody in our plasma cell panel.

The results were easy to interpret, showing positive staining on activated B and T lymphocytes (as shown in the figure). Titration was also easy and a good signal to noise ratio was achieved.
