Company:

Invitrogen

Product Name:

Dynabeads His-Tag

Catalog Number:

10103D

I used these beads to perform coIP in cell lysates. I like these magnetic beads because they do not use an antibody to capture your protein of interest. This removes the possibility of eluting your antibody off of the beads along with your protein of interest. For this, this was an issue because of the cross-reactivity of antibodies with my secondaries in western blotting.

Cell lysates

Tips

Make sure your second protein of interest does not have a his tag!!!

Results Summary

In the end, I was unable to use this product because my second protein of interest had an endogenous his tag. But the beads worked beautifully to IP the his tagged protein that I transfected.
