Best Kit for the Extraction of DNA from Agarose Gel

The PCR product of a specific gene of 2.3kb size was resolved in 1.8% agarose gel. The specific bands were visualized and clipped from the gel. The clipped agarose gel containing specific DNA band was purified using QIAquick Gel Extraction Kit. In brief, agarose gel slices were dissolved in a buffer and the mixture is applied to the QIAquick spin column. After spinning nucleic acids got adsorbed to the silica membrane of the column which was eluted in the elution buffer. The eluted DNA was used for downstream processing.
