PE-Cy5 anti-mouse CD8a

I am studying recognition of viruses in mouse macrophages during infection with RNA viruses. For this experiment, I was determining the cellular composition of spleens following infection with West Nile virus by flow cytometry. I was testing to see if a specific Pattern Recognition Receptor was required for T cell polarization during infection. For this experiment, I needed a CD8a antibody that I could use as part of my panel to identify CD8+ T cells and CD8+ Dendritic Cells. I chose this CD8a antibody from Biogems because it was in the correct color (the PE-Cy5 channel) and I had recently spoken with my Peprotech rep who suggested I try their antibodies. Biogems offered the clone, the color, and the amount of antibody that I was looking for at a reasonable price. Their shipping was fast and reliable, so the antibody was in the lab when I needed it.
