We regularly use Labnet Prism C2500-230V microcentrifuge for centrifugation of bacterial pellets, plasmid, genomic DNA and RNA extraction using miniprep kits where centrifugation of columns less than 2 ml volume is needed. This centrifuge has speed range from 500 to 15000 rpm and does meet the requirements of our work.

We regularly use this table top Labnet Prism Microcentrifuge for routine centrifugation carried out day-to-day laboratory work with bacterial samples.For pelleting bacterial samples less than 2 ml, we centrifuge at 8000 rpm for 4 minutes. For all other purposes like extraction of DNA or RNA using Qiagen Miniprep kits, we perform centrifugation at centrifugation speed and time mentioned in the respective kit. Centrifuge is very good and while operating, it hardly makes noise.

Satisfactory performance of centrifugation of our samples. No issue with operation. Added advantage is that it has having 24 place rotor where more samples can be used at a time. Also we can fix 0.2 ml tube holder in the centrifuge for quick spinning of PCR tubes.
