Company:

Santa Cruz Biotechnology

Product Name:

Caspase-1 p10 Antibody (M-20)

Catalog Number:

sc-514

This rabbit anti-mouse caspase-1 antibody can recognize protein extract from various mouse tissues and mouse cell lines. Caspase-1 has a 45kD pro-enzyme and two functional cleavaged products, this antibody can recognize both which is great. The dilution factor is about 1:2000, if the protein prep is clean. However, there is background protein shown on the blots too (I used a homogenized mouse organ), if the protein is a mixed sample. It also works with immunofluorescent microscopy. It is a relatively okay price compare to most primary antibodies.

Results Summary

As shown in the fig, the major caspase-1 proenzyme is clean and strongly recognized. However, much background still existed with the band. This antibody can also recognize cleaved caspase-1 (not shown in the fig) and can also work with IFA.
