The trans-blot turbo system is easy and fast to use especially if combined with the Bio-rad transfer kit that combines the solution, membranes and filters for FAST transfer (10 minutes and it is DONE!). Unfortunately because of the high heat and power generated by the machine, quite delicate contacts (pogo pins positioned on the back of the transfer cassettes), and the nature of the buffer used, the system is very prone to breakage. In our experience after about one year of use the machine needs to be repaired or substituted. So don't let the warranty expire because you'll need it.
