You drip a bit of this onto your tissue on the slide, coverslip, and you will have strong DAPI staining with low aberrant staining. Works best with a brightfield fluorescent microscope and not confocal microscopy. Cheap and keeps in the refrigerator for some time.

Protocol Overview

Perform immunohistochemical staining as normal. Once protocol is complete, mount tissue onto slides. When tissue has dried and affixed to slide, apply a few drops of the Vectashield with DAPI onto your tissue. Coverslip. View using a fluorescence-compatible microscope that can 'view' within the range of DAPI.
