Prostate cancer is the most frequent malignancy in men in the United States with a 5-year survival rate for metastatic disease of 30%. Survival is influenced by the location of the metastases. Patients with prostate cancer that remains in the prostate and lymph nodes have a higher survival rate than those that experience distant metastasis. The aim of the research presented here is to develop predictive markers of metastatic prostate disease.Expand to see more
In this webinar, Dr. Manojlovic discusses the use of genomic and transcriptomic profiling technologies to analyze the difference between node-only and distant metastatic disease samples. The initial findings show a clear molecular difference between the two disease types.
