Description
The Ceruloplasmin Colorimetric Activity Kit from Arbor Assays enables sensitive measurement of ceruloplasmin activity in serum and urine samples. Ceruloplasmin is a multicopper oxidase with roles in iron metabolism, antioxidant defense, and reproductive function. The assay measures enzymatic conversion of a substrate to a fuchsia-colored product at 560 nm, with results available in 60 minutes. It detects activity levels as low as 3.26 mU/mL and covers a detection range of 31.25–1,000 mU/mL. With its straightforward protocol and species-independent design, this assay supports studies of copper homeostasis, oxidative stress, and neurodegenerative disease
