HBDH, Kinetic, 10 x 6 ml from BQ Kits, Inc.

Description

For manual or automated procedures, quantitative determination of a-HBDH activity, in human serum or plasma. Lactate dehydrogenase-1 isoenzyme, which manifests the greatest catalytic activity in reducing 2-oxobutyrate to 2-hydroxybutyrate in the presence of NADH is termed a-Hydroxybutyrate Dehydrogenase (HBDH). Heart muscles contain high levels of HBDH and myocardial damage results in a greater release of HBDH into the blood. Therefore, measurement of HBDH activity in serum is useful in diagnosing myocardial infarction. HBDH Reagent is base on the procedure developed by Rosalki and Wilkinson with a slight modification.
