Mouse anti Human CD59 antibody, clone MEM-43 reacts with a PI-linked glycoprotein, Mw 18-20kDa found on all types of leucocytes including platelets. The antigen is expressed on many haemapoietic and non-haemapoietic cells. MEM-43 has been shown to stimulate NK activity. CD59 is expressed by erythrocytes and therefore staining in whole blood systems requires a high concentration of antibody. The epitope recognized by Mouse anti Human CD59 antibody, clone MEM-43 is lost after reduction, therefore, non-reducing conditions are required for western blotting techniques
