Description
Description: Humanin (HN) encodes a polypeptide that appears to protect neurons from both cytotoxic and apoptotic cell death in Alzheimer’s disease. Analogues of the HN peptide have been shown to spare memory in animal models of Alzheimer’s, suggesting its potentially important therapeutic role. It is found in highest levels in testis, colon, and AD-affected brain tissues. We currently have tested the antibody by Western blotting against the human HN peptide and cell lysates of 293T cells transfected with a GFP tagged HN
