LRRC56 (Leucine-Rich Repeat Containing 56) is located on human chromosome 11p15.5. LRRC56 protein is ubiquitously expressed in testis, skin and other tissues. Structurally, the encoded protein is reported to be 58733 Da in mass. The LRRC56 (also known as CILD39) gene is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, and rat. 231 organisms have orthologs with human gene LRRC56. LRRC56 is required for the assembly of dynein arms. LRRC56 is associated with some diseases, including Ciliary Dyskinesia, Primary, 39 and Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia
