SFT2D2 (SFT2 Domain Containing 2) is located on human chromosome 1q24.2. An important paralog of this gene is SFT2D1. The SFT2D2 (also known as DJ747L4.C1.2 or UNQ512) gene is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, zebrafish, A.thaliana, rice, and frog. SFT2D2 may be involved in fusion of retrograde transport vesicles derived from an endocytic compartment with the Golgi complex
