Western blot was performed using Anti-SLC7A11 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA1-16775) and a 55 kDa band corresponding to SLC7A11 was observed across the cell lines and tissue tested. An uncharacterized band of ~ 36 kDa was also observed in some of the cell lines. Whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of MDA-MB-231 (Lane1), MCF7 (Lane 2), Hep G2 (Lane 3), HeLa (Lane 4), HCT 116 (Lane 5), K-562 (Lane 6), U-87MG (Lane 7) and tissue extract (30 µg lysate) of Mouse Stomach (Lane 8) were electrophoresed using Novex® NuPAGE™ 10% Bis-Tris Protein Gel (Product # NP0302BOX). Resolved proteins were then transferred onto a nitrocellulose membrane (Product # IB23001) by iBlot® 2 Dry Blotting System (Product # IB21001). The blot was probed with the primary antibody (1 µg/mL) and detected by chemiluminescence with Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L), Superclonal™ Recombinant Secondary Antibody, HRP (Product # A27036, 1:4000 dilution), using the iBright FL 1000 (Product # A32752). Chemiluminescent detection was performed using Novex® ECL Chemiluminescent Substrate Reagent Kit (Product # WP20005).
