CTNNB1,also known as beta-Catenin,is an evolutionarily conserved,multifunctional intracellular protein. CTNNB1 was originally identified in cell adherens junctions (Ajs) where it functions to bridge the cytoplasmic domain of cadherins to a-catenin and the actin cytoskeleton.
