Description

RIOX2 (Ribosomal Oxygenase 2, also known as MINA) is a Protein Coding gene. The RIOX2 gene, located on 3q11.2, is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, zebrafish, and frog. An important paralog of this gene is RIOX1. MINA is a c-Myc target gene that may play a role in cell proliferation or regulation of cell growth. RIOX2 is widely expressed in the thyroid, skin, and other tissues. Diseases associated with RIOX2 include Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Lung Cancer. Among its related pathways are Chromatin organization and Validated targets of C-MYC transcriptional activation. 222 organisms have orthologs with the human gene RIOX2
