Description

NDUFA10 (NADH: Ubiquinone Oxidoreductase Subunit A10) is a Protein Coding gene. The NDUFA10 gene, located on 2q37.3, is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, and rat, etc. NDUFA10 belongs to the complex I NDUFA10 subunit family. The protein encoded by this gene is a component of 42 kDa complex I, the first enzyme complex in the electron transport chain of mitochondria. This protein has NADH dehydrogenase activity and oxidoreductase activity. It transfers electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. Diseases associated with NDUFA10 include Mitochondrial Complex I Deficiency, Nuclear Type 22, and Leigh Syndrome With Leukodystrophy. Among its related pathways are GABAergic synapse and Respiratory electron transport, ATP synthesis by chemiosmotic coupling, and heat production by uncoupling proteins
