SLC35F6, a member of the SLC35 family, is located on human chromosome 2p23.3. SLC35F6 is also known as ANT2BP, TANGO9 or C2orf18. The SLC35F6 protein is strongly expressed in prostate and thyroid and weakly expressed in lung, heart, liver and kidney. SLC35F6 is involved in the maintenance of mitochondrial membrane potential in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) cells. SLC35F6 promotes pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) cell growth. SLC35F6 has transmembrane transporter activity. SLC35F6 is associated with some diseases, such as Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma. The orthologue in mice is 4930471M23Rik
