Kinesin family member 20B (KIF20B, also know as MPHOSPH1 or MPP1) is a member of the Kinesin-6 family, which also includes the better-known members KIF23/MKLP1 and KIF20A/MKLP2. KIF20B, is a plus-end-directed kinesin-related protein that exhibits in vitro microtubule-binding and -bundling properties as well as microtubule-stimulated ATPase activity. It has been characterized as a slow molecular motor that moves toward the plus-end of microtubules. KIF20B plays oncogenic roles in several types of tumors, including breast cancer, hepatocellular cancer, colorectal cancer and bladder cancer
