MyBioSource.com's Rabbit Anti-EGFP Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody. This antibody has been shown to work in applications such as: EIA, Immunoassay, and ELISA.
Description
Enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP tag), a mutant of GFP, is extensively used in biological and biomedical research. EGFP has greater folding efficiency (increased fluorescence due to a higher proportion of correctly folded protein) at 37 degree C, has a single excitation peak at ~490 nm and has been codon optimized for expression in mammalian hosts. EGFP can be used as a reporter gene offers a number of advantages, including real-time analysis, minimal sample handing, the possibility of large-quantity analysis, and high sensitivity. Anti-EGFP tag antibodies recognize and detect GFP-tagged proteins without a protein-specific antibody or probe in several immunochemical assays such as Western Blotting, ELISAs and immunostaining techniques
