MyBioSource.com's Rabbit Anti-keratin 76/KRT76 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody. This antibody has been shown to work in applications such as: Immunohistochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry - fixed.
Description
Keratin 76 (Krt76) is expressed in the differentiated epithelial layers of skin, oral cavity and squamous stomach. Krt76 downregulation in human oral squamous cell carcinomas (OSCC) correlates with poor prognosis. Krt76 is a type II intermediate filament protein expressed in the differentiating, non-proliferative layers of a subset of stratified epithelia in human and mouse. Krt76 is the most significantly downregulated gene encoding a structural protein in human oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and correlates strongly with poor prognosis. OSCC arises from the multilayered epithelial lining of the mouth and the lips. It involves mostly the tongue, but can also occur in the floor of the mouth, gingiva, lip, cheek and palate. In patients, KRT76 is detected in 100% of normal gingivobuccal epithelial biopsies, 44% of oral preneoplastic lesions and 35% of OSCC
