MyBioSource.com's Rabbit Anti-Epsin 3/EPN3 Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal antibody. This antibody has been shown to work in applications such as: Western Blot. The Rabbit Anti-Epsin 3/EPN3 Antibody was generated using EPN3 as the antigen and it reacts with Human.
Description
Epsin3 (EPN3), together with Epsin1 (EPN1) and Epsin2 (EPN2), belongs to the evolutionarily conserved epsin family. While EPN1 and EPN2 are ubiquitous, EPN3 is expressed at low levels in normal tissues, except for gastric parietal cells. EPN3 expression is upregulated in wounded epithelial tissues (e.g., ulcerative colitis) exhibiting altered cell-extracellular matrix interactions. Epsin 3 (EPN3) has been identified as an oncogene in estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. Mechanistically, EPN3 drives breast tumorigenesis by increasing E-cadherin endocytosis, followed by the activation of a beta-catenin/TCF4-dependent partial epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT), followed by the establishment of a TGFbeta-dependent autocrine loop that sustains EMT. EPN3-induced partial EMT is instrumental for the transition from in situ to invasive breast carcinoma. EPN3 expression is limited to gastric parietal cells and wounded or pathological tissue rather than normal brain tissue
