LY6K (Lymphocyte Antigen 6 Family Member K) is a Protein Coding gene. 2 alternatively spliced human isoforms have been reported. It may play a role in cell growth. LY6K is a cancer biomarker and a therapeutic target that induces invasion and metastasis. LY6K, which is a member of the Ly-6/muPAR superfamily and related to breast cancer progression and metastasis, is inversely correlated with ERalpha expression. It has been identified as a tumor-associated antigen in lung cancers and esophageal squamous cell carcinomas.
