CD2 (Cluster of Differentiation 2) is a specific marker that is only expressed by T-cells and NK cells. All normal T-cells can be recognized by CD2 staining, however may be missing in some T-cell neoplasms. Interactions between CD2 and other cell surface antigens such as CD58 (in humans) and CD 48 (in mice) are also observed
