Western blot was performed using Anti-Caveolin 2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA1-065) and a 18 kDa band corresponding to Caveolin 2 was observed across cell lines and tissues tested along with increase in expression in 3T3-L1 upon differentiation to adipocytes. Membrane enriched extracts (30 µg lysate) of 3T3-L1 (Lane 1), 3T3-L1 differentiated to adipocytes (Lane 2), Mouse Heart (Lane 3), Mouse Lung (Lane 4), Mouse Adipose (Lane 5) and Mouse Spleen (Lane 6) were electrophoresed using NuPAGE™ 12% Bis-Tris Protein Gel (Product # NP0342BOX). Resolved proteins were then transferred onto a nitrocellulose membrane (Product # IB23001) by iBlot® 2 Dry Blotting System (Product # IB21001). The blot was probed with the primary antibody (2 µg/mL) and detected by chemiluminescence with Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (Heavy Chain) Superclonal™ Recombinant Secondary Antibody, HRP (Product # A27036, 1:4000 dilution) using the iBright FL 1000 (Product # A32752). Chemiluminescent detection was performed using Novex® ECL Chemiluminescent Substrate Reagent Kit (Product # WP20005).
