Vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1), also called L1CAM and CD106, is important in cell-cell recognition. Appears to function in leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion. Interacts with integrin alpha-4/beta-1 (ITGA4/ITGB1) on leukocytes, and mediates both adhesion and signal transduction. The VCAM1/ITGA4/ITGB1 interaction may play a pathophysiologic role both in immune responses and in leukocyte emigration to sites of inflammation. [UniProt]

Application Notes: Titering of the VCAM-1 antibody may be required for optimal performance.1. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.2. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.

Application Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1-2ug/ml for 30 min at RT (1),Prediluted IHC only format: incubate for 30 min at RT (2)
