Description
CXCR3, a Chemokine Receptor, is highly similar to the interleukine 8B receptor and has been shown to mediate recruitment of T cells to sites of inflammation and retention of T-cells in the inflamed CNS. CXCR3 has been suggested to be the principal inflammatory chemokine receptor involved in intrathecal accumulation of T-cells in multiple sclerosis and diabetes. It is expressed on malignant B cells in chronic lymphoproliferative disorders (Jones et al., 2000)
