Precast Gels

Precast Gels Ready-to-use precast gels are available from several suppliers for electrophoresis applications. Precast gels are pre-prepared solid gels comprised generally of polymerized acrylamide or agarose. The crosslinked semi-porous nature of gels enables complex molecules (including proteins and nucleic acids) to traverse in a size-dependent manner. In addition to the time-saving convenience of using ready-made gels, precast gels can help ensure consistency in the preparation of electrophoresis-based experiments. Narrow down the search for a particular type of gel by using the filters on the left, including format, type, and percentage.
