Gel Staining Reagents

Gel Staining Reagents Gel staining reagents are available from many manufacturers for the visualization of nucleic acids and proteins in agarose or polyacrylamide gels. The ready-to-use stains come in various formats, including large-volume solutions and multi-reagent kits, and can serve as useful tools in molecular biology and biochemistry by ensuring consistent, sensitive and reproducible staining. Common gel stains include ethidium bromide and SYBR for DNA electrophoresis, and Coomassie Blue and silver stains for SDS-PAGE or native PAGE.
