Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with GDF15. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) -conjugated antibody preparation specific for GDF15, mix well and incubated. The more the amount of GDF15 in samples, the less HRP- conjugated antibody preparation specific for GDF15 bound by pre-coated GDF15. Then a TMB (3,3',5,5' tetramethyl-benzidine) substrate solution is added to each well. And the color develops in opposite to the amount of GDF15 in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured
