Description
Syntenin-2 (S2), also known as syndecan binding protein 2, is a PDZ protein that interacts with nuclear phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2). In rabbits, it is encoded by the SDCBP2 gene. Although there is no direct evidence for a specific function of Sytenin-2 in rabbits, it can be hypothesized that it may be involved in biological processes such as cell adhesion, endocytosis pathways, or cytoskeleton regulation, similar to Sytenin-1. Sytenin-1 is a PDZ (Discoidin domain, PDZ, SH3) structural domain protein that binds to the cytoplasmic C-terminal FYMA-like structural domains of cytoskeletal proteins, such as syndecan and Ephrin-B2, mainly through its PDZ structural domains
