Description
Testosterone is the principal male sex hormone and androgen in males. It belongs to the androstane class of steroid hormones and contains a ketone and a hydroxyl group at positions three and seventeen, respectively. In prior research, testosterone was observed to cause dose-dependent relaxation of rabbit coronary arteries, with no notable difference in relaxation response whether the endothelium was present or not. Testosterone has a significant effect on the reproductive system of rabbits. Studies have shown that testosterone promotes testicular development and spermatogenesis by increasing the number and activity of Leydig cells
