Description
In rabbits, Sirtuin 3 is encoded by the SIRT3 gene and is also known as NAD-dependent deacetylase sirtuin-3, mitochondrial. The sirtuin family members are recognized by a sirtuin core domain and are categorized into four classes. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to class I of the sirtuin family. SIRT3 may have similar functions in rabbits and other animals, including anti-oxidation, anti-inflammation, regulation of energy metabolism, protection of heart health, and delaying aging. However, there is currently no research data directly targeting rabbits to support the specific manifestations of these functions
